Allianz Engineering Careers

Initial Training

The Induction period comprises of ‘hands-on’ field training with one of our experienced Training Surveyors. Typically this training will last for a minimum of 16 weeks, involves extensive travel throughout the UK and staying away from home.

During this period our new Engineer Surveyors are trained in the examination technique of a wide range of plant and equipment in many different environments. There are also classroom based sessions that focus on the legislative, technical, IT and soft skill requirements of this customer-facing role.

Once the induction has been completed, there is a final assessment which consists of an examination and a technical discussion to ensure that competency in the engineering discipline has been attained.

Employees are well supported throughout the induction process which provides a great opportunity for learning within a safe and supportive environment.

“The Engineer Surveyor learning curve is pretty steep, and gets steeper once you complete training and start doing the job on your own patch. This is challenging, but extremely rewarding when everything falls into place.”
